Headphone experience, including PHRTF is critical to the success of Atmos Music, Atmos Gaming, and our Mobile business. Many ecosystem issues trace back to a lack of clear communication of relationships between the various products and platforms in our technology ecosystems. In our headphone ecosystem, we are in need of documented ecosystem maps that clearly communicate the relationships and dependencies of the products and platforms that make up our headphone experience. The intern will help us build more consistent, reliable, and healthy ecosystems as their work will offer a complete map of which products use which headphone virtualizers, tunings, their related components, and versions. This will enable relevant stakeholders to have a solid understanding of how components in the ecosystem interact. With the support of the headphone ecosystem product manager, the intern can spend time to set up the initial ecosystem maps.Role description:
The technology platforms and ecosystems product management intern will focus on understanding the interactions between the various platforms and products that make up the Headphone Experience Ecosystem. The platforms/products include:
- Headphone virtualizers
- Headphone tunings: various versions in different products
- Encoders/encoding products
- Decoders/decoding products
- Content creation tools
- Post-processingng products
- Gaming products
The intern will interview various stakeholders of the headphone ecosystem to gain an understanding of how our many platforms/products use our headphone virtualizers as well as which versions are used where. With all this information, the intern will document (likely through a diagram or map along with a Confluence page) the different platforms/products that use a headphone virtualizer, in what capacity the virtualizer is used (HRTF-only, room-only, or both), the tuning(s) supported and each platform’s/product’s role in the ecosystem to demonstrate their interaction.
- Minimum 1 year of university studies in engineering or a technical subject
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for audio technology

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply.
